I Cannot Believe This Actually Came From EA

Greetings;

Well it seems that the game is no longer going to be played by me.
As some of you are aware since the emergency patch of Wed Aug 10th I have not been able to play the game.
The following is the ticket I submitted to them, to read it correctly start at the bottom:

I have already gone through all of those steps, and have enclosed the results with this report.

The trace log, the NFSWO_COMMUNICATION_LOG, & the DxDiag log are attached to this report.

It is becoming extemely obvious to me that not one of you techies are bothering to read any of it.

So since that is the case kindly get together a refund of all the money I have spent on the game and forward it to me please, I know you have access to my purchase records.

I have run out of patience waiting for a fix for this, none of you have a clue what is causing it and quite frankly it is obvious that you do not want to help at all.

So kindly forward my refund to me please.

I am done with the game and trying to get it to run.

This part here Paul should put a smile on your face, they actually referred me to my own website with your fix on it

Are all attached to this.

I did nothing to my PC.

The game ran perfectly until the update that the servers had this week August 9th, when I tried to play the game after the patchj it no longer works.

My drivers are all up to date.

My PC is brand new and has run the game at least 30 times since I got it.

There is something wrong on your end....don't believe me go to this thread and take a look at the problems the players are having, and this is the ones that post, imagine the tens of thousands that don't even bother, they just move on to another game.

Thank you for witting back at EA Games Support.

I apologize for the inconvenience you are having with the game. Please accomplish the following before launching the game:

1. Empty your Temp folder to prevent file conflicts. Click here for steps on emptying your Temp folder:

3. Be sure you have the latest drivers available for your video and sound card.

If your issue still persists please reply back to this incident with information called dxdiag.exe.

To do this:

1) Go to Start -> Run.
2) In the box, type the following: dxdiag
3) Click 'OK'
4) Click the 'Save All Information' button on the first screen of the application.
5) Then on top of the 'Save As' box that pops up, select Desktop (if it's not set to save there already), then click Save.
6) Finally, attach the dxdiag.txt to your email reply.

Once I get the Dxdiag, I'll take a look and let you know what to do from there.

I appreciate all that you have said here and I have done all of the suggestions you made.

I have been in the game since BETA last year and am very familiar with the eccentricies of keeping the game up and running it is just since the last patch it does not work.

I am at a loss as to what is causing it, I was playing the game before the patch, and after the patch I got into it once, now i can't get into it at all.

I have tried running it as Administrator, I even ran it in Debug mode and sent the reports to you.

There has to be something else that is causing this to happen.

I am sorry as you are not able to launch your game. I understand your concern and I would like to inform you that there is a new patch release for the game so you have to patch the game, the game is auto-patch so when you will launch the game the game will patch automatically, if the game is not patched at the moment then I would suggest you to disable your security software including the firewall for the moment, to disable your firewall please follow these steps:

Click Start, click Run, type Firewall.cpl, and then click OK.
On the General tab, click Off (not recommended).
Click OK.

If the game is still not patched to the latest version then, I would suggest you to uninstall / remove all previous versions of NFS World including any remaining files and/or folders left behind by the uninstaller.

For specific details on uninstalling Need for Speed World, see the Uninstall FAQ http://www.needforspeed.com/post/need-speed-world-uninstall-faq

Currently, only Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are supported in regards to the NFS World Download page. If you are using Google Chrome, Safari or any other browsers you may not be able to download the setup file. Please use one of the supported browsers to download the file.

Also, if you are not able to connect to server then be sure that you close any file sharing, streaming audio, or chat programs prior to entering gameplay. TCP:
TCP 12683, 443, 5222, 5223

UDP:
Outgoing: 31928, 5222, 5223

Incoming: Please consult your router or personal firewall documentation for information on how to allow game related traffic on these ports. If you are attempting to play on a corporate Internet connection, contact your network administrator. Need for Speed™ World supports only broadband connections for online play. When logging in to play online, you are logging into the EA servers.

Please disable the firewall for the whole process till the game is once launched. And then you can start it again.

I hope after performing these troubleshooting steps you will be able to play the game.

For windows seven and Vista users we would request you to run the game as administrator, to run the game as administrator:

1. Right-click on the shortcut icon of the game on your desktop.
2. Choose the option "Run as Administrator".
3. Choose to allow the game.

I am not able to run the game, I put in my password, hit enter, get the downloads, hit the play button and nothing.

I have followed all of the procedures as outlined in the instructions found here:

Well good news and bad news on this one.

The good news is they finally figured out what was causing the problem and fixed it, and it was all their end, I have done nothing with my PC.

The bad news is after I ran the Treasure Hunt run once and logged out I went back to support and told them I was able to log in and play but not to close the ticket just in case it was a fluke.

I then go to log back in and get this:
